Schmetz Embroidery Twin Needle. Two Embroidery needles mounted on one shank create two rows of stitches simultaneously. Use with rayon, polyester, and other specialty embroidery threads. The special scarf, long smooth groove, and large eye of this needle protect these more fragile threads and guard against excess friction. Use two spools of thread and pass each thread on a different side of the tension discs and thread one thread one into each needle. Only one bobbin thread is used and the stitches create a double web of stitches on the back. Must use with a zigzag stitch plate.
